5 Fixes For Your Winter Woes

It's that time of year again. Whether it's rain, wind or that drop in temperature killing your curls, The Hue Girls are here to save the day. Try our top five fixes for helping your hair fight the elements this winter.

Colour Fading
Your tan isn't the only thing that fades with the weather. Along with winter damage, comes diluted colour. To keep your colour vibrant, energetic and healthy hair is a must. Salon treatments can really make a difference when it comes to preventing damage and rejuvenating colour. Be sure to treat yo'self next time you're in.

Fix: Olaplex - This treatment is the only salon system that rebuilds broken hair bonds.

Dry Hair
The constant change from hot to cold can really take a toll on your hair. Heat pumps and air conditioning suck the moisture right out of your locks. Don't forget to increase your water intake. Your complexion along with your curls will thank you for those 8 glasses of H2O a day.

Fix:  Mash together an avo and  2 egg whites. Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse. The vitamins, protein and essential fatty acids will bring your hair back to life.

Fight Frizz
Drizzly days fuel the frizz. No matter how many time you use the irons, once you step out those doors say hello to flyaways. Hair products can help you tame your mane and keep your style looking smooth and sleek. Make sure you pick a product that protects against the harsh heat of styling tools, we find ourselves using them more during these wet months.

Fix: EIMI by Wella Professional - Create natural style with this delicate lotion that adds shine, repairs, moisturises, tames flyaways and protects from the heat of styling tools.

Hat Hair

It wouldn't be winter without a warm, comfy beanie. Too bad that is followed closely by hat hair. Moisture seems to be the trend when it comes to keeping your hair intact this winter.  Leave in conditioners and hair mask are our go to.

Fix: Lock in moisture with a hair mask. The Renewing Mask by Wella Professional is a paraben free repairing mask that intensively restores and preserves the natural inner structure and strength of the hair.

Lifeless
Limp, lifeless hair isn't something one wishes for but even Jenny from the blocks hair falls flat sometimes. Along with volume enhancing products - Be kind to your hair, reduce the heat. Keep the piping hot showers and vigorous towel drying to a minimum. Instead, dab light.

Fix: Body Maker Spray by Angel Haircare. The deep sea water props up thin limp hair while restoring healthy PH balance and prolonging the volume.
